Why WhatsApp not connecting? – Facebook gives answer

Why is your WhatsApp now connecting? Did WhatsApp crash? Is WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram banned?

WhatsApp is currently down, so also other apps of their parent company, as Facebook and Instagram also experience outages.

The reason for the outage is still obscure, though there have been promises to fix it. This is the major outage in recent times, and the third this year alone.

A company spokesperson has already apologised for the problem but gave no indication of why the outage began or how long it might take to fix.

“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products,” spokesperson Andy Stone said on Twitter. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, who later bought WhatsApp and Instagram from the former owners.

WhatsApp Messenger, or simply WhatsApp, is an American freeware, cross-platform centralized instant messaging and voice-over-IP service application. It allows users to share text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, among other contents.

Instagram allows users to create and share photos, stories, and videos with their friends and followers.
