Sir Sean Connery is dead! The James Bond actor died at the age of 90.
This is according to a statement released on Saturday by his family.
The Scottish actor was best known for his portrayal of James Bond, being the first to bring the role to the big screen and appearing in seven of the spy thrillers.
His acting career spanned decades and his many awards included an Oscar, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.
During his decades spanning acting career, Sir Sean went on to win an Oscar, two Baftas and three Golden Globes.
His Academy Award came in 1998 when he took home the statuette for best supporting actor for his role as an Irish police officer in The Untouchables.
He was knighted by the Queen in 2000 for his services to the entertainment industry Mirror UK reports.
