An Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Monguno LGA of Borno state, has been razed by fire, according to a report by TVC.
An unknown number of children were said to have been burnt in the inferno which started this afternoon.
The fire started at about 11:30am on Thursday and gutted the entire camp settlement, which provided shelter to hundreds of persons displaced by Boko Haram insurgency.
According to TVC, many young children were burnt in the inferno. The cause of the inferno is yet to be identified.
The Monguno IDP camp houses many internally displaced persons from several communities around the Lake Chad Basin.
