Malikawa village in Gidan Goga district, Maradun Local Government of Zamfara state is alleged to be under attack, as disclosed by Amnesty International.
Amnesty International who noted that residents of Gidan Goga and surrounding villages of Maradun LGA in Zamfara state live perpetually in fear of armed bandits, added that the ongoing attack is coming five days after the armed bandits sacked 7 villages under Gidan Goga district of Zamfara state.
The tweets reads;

#Zamfara state live perpetually in fear of armed bandits. There was no road to the village. Fear of bandits compelled young men to abandon their farms & spend their days pensively under trees.”
Recall that forty-five people died in an attack by armed bandits in northern Nigeria few months ago, amid growing levels of rural violence often involving cattle theft, robbery and kidnappings for ransom.
“The 45 bodies were found scattered in the bush. The bandits pursued residents who mobilised to defend the village after overpowering them,” said a vigilante who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals.
“The dead included children abandoned by their parents during the attack.
“The attackers were obviously armed bandits from neighbouring Zamfara state who have been terrorising Birnin Gwari area…,” he added.
